As life requires me to do different things, I finds myself listening to a wide range of music, almost habitually.
While I am cleaning, I like to listen to light hearted pop, from artists like Jason Mraz.
When I am doing math/physics problems, or when I am driving, I like to listen to alternative rock, like the Neighbourhood, or Arctic Monkeys.
When doing research, I love listening to swing era singers, like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, etc., or a thoughtful podcast.
When reading, I like songs composed by Joe Hisaishi, Claude Debussy, or artists like them. (Classical, instrumental)
When drawing, I like to listen to music that best represents what I am drawing. (Does that sound weird?)
And when I commute places, I prefer not to listen to anything at all, but rather the world around me.
When you go through your day, do you feel like you listen to just one or two genres (like strictly metal or only classical)? Or does it really just depend on the activity?
I know I have maybe 9-10 active watchers, but I thought it would be fun to share routines, and musical preferences, because it can become such an integral part of one's day.
So as the title asks: What do you listen to? And when?
