Hey guys, how's it goin'. -u- My name is Mariam and i'm a traditional artist that seeks to improve. I pretty much fell of the face of the Art World, so I am trying to make 2017 my comeback. :) I am currently pursuing a degree in Astrophysics (almost done!!) so I haven't had much time for art, but you can still expect to see some stuff every now and then. I am also mostly here because I like to look for talented artists who I can learn from.
I specialize in traditional 2D art, and the occasional craft, but I always try to branch out. Digital art is definitely on my to do list, but we'll see how long it takes for an untechnologically savvy person like me to learn. ^u^''
Interests
  • Listening to: Arctic Monkeys
  • Reading: Photoshop Manuals TT-TT
  • Watching: House of Cards
  • Playing: TENNIS
  • Eating: Homemade Pumpkin Bread! e u e
  • Drinking: Water (It's all I can afford. TTuTT )
I am embarking on the treacherous journey from sketchbook to photoshop, and coloring seems to be taking FOREVER. For all you digital artists out there: is there any advice you could give that would make the process go faster? I understand speed comes with practice, but there has to be other something else I can do technique-wise to make a simple drawing not take like 6 hours. I am working with a mouse right now, because I lack a tablet. TT u TT  Any and all advice is appreciated! ; u ;

Yeah!! You have an amazing gallery. The way you do your proportions in some of your studies reminds me of Leonardo DaVinci

Thank you!
And I think you can definitely tell manga was an early inspiration. ^u^ I haven't had much time to focus on my art until only recently, so developing a more distinct style will definitely take some time.
